In this episode, host, Celeste
Rains-Turk, talks to Jourdanne Lee, who was born in Canada and
now lives in the us who got into competing after falling in love
with lifting, she is a sponsored athlete, and fit body fusion
coach.
Jourdanne shares why she doesn't call it 'prep', how she builds
muscle and trains, her approach to nutrition, and beliefs that have
helped her navigate life. She opens up about what she told herself
when she became a pro and how that has led her to taking
responsibility in this role to be an example through her
actions.
She talks about what to do when you get your period on or around
show day, how to monitor and track your health, as well as why rest
is so important.
Jourdanne also talks about how she sets goals and achieves big
things by focusing on the small stuff first, how she approaches
prepping someone for a competition as a coach, and staying
consistent!
She even discusses how she fully embraced who she is and stopped
chasing the 'sexy' look and started being 100% herself on stage.
Jourdanne tells us why she's called 'carb baby', how she has
balanced her life, and why she loves counting macros. She even
shares how anyone could do a whole prep eating from the dollar
store!
Her advice is truly insightful and helpful for competitors whether
you compete locally, nationally, or in the pro league as she
discusses the powerful metaphor to ensure you are level set and
honest with yourself through the challenges!
